Accounting is not only a job for us, it is also a passion
My name is Theo Ioannou and I am an accountant
After the accession of Cyprus in to the EU in 2004 and after a series of government measures to boost international investment in Cyprus, amongst others, a growing demand for accounting professionals has been seen ever since. However, the lack of supply of professionals has not meet the increasing demand. That created a gap. This is why ever since, numerous newly-formed accounting firms have been gradually emerging in the market to satisfy this demand. And that is when we decided to form IOANNOU & CO, to be part of the effort to fill in that gap.
I have graduated from the University of North Florida with a BA in Accounting and from the University of Texas with an MBA. I obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification (CPA) and became a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). After my graduation, I entered the real estate industry in the USA joining a prominent San Antonio-based corporation. Returning back to Cyprus, I entered the demanding profession of corporate financial accounting and controlling in a variety of industries, like professional services, financial investment services, real estate developing, property management and international trading logistics and import-export business.
IOANNOU & CO entered the market of accounting services in 2014 focusing on helping small international businesses from European countries relocate to Cyprus.
